About

An update was in order. The site has changed dramatically from the idea that I had started out with: to provide an archive for every version of the Mac OS that was out there, save OS 8+. As I have a passion for old computers, old software, pretty much anything vintage and emulation, this seemed like the perfect website to create. Now that the site has gotten thousands of hits, hundreds of downloads and many more pages than I had originally intended, it’s starting to feel like a sub-page of E-Maculation.

Also, I never really have explained who I am, and this may be of interest to some. I’m a Canadian, which will either make you want to kill me or hug me. I have a really big passion for writing, which is probably why I enjoy this blog as much as I do sometimes. I tend to get unmotivated when people don’t encourage me to keep doing what I’m doing (Hint! If you want to make my day, just drop a “Good Job!” email or comment on one of my pages!), so that’s why I kept the site on hold for a few months. I’m a really busy person, since I love to act and sing, and this will take up a lot of time. I currently am writing a novel, if anyone is interested in reading it! (http://www.booksie.com/fanman93) Anything else you need to know? Well, give me a challenge, such as setting up an emulator, and I guarantee you it will get done!

For old time’s sake, here’s the original post:

The way this site is used: There are various categories that are available. You will find all the applications that I have acquired over time in here. New stuff is uploaded at any time, most likely at least once per day. If you have anything to contribute, it is welcome. fanman93@gmail.com Remember, I ONLY accept applications that are compatible with Mini vMac. Games are welcome as well, although you may want to visit Macintosh Garden for a more complete collection. The main idea of this website was to provide an archive for all System variations up to 7.5.5 . Some are not included, because they are redundant (like 6.0.5 instead of 6.0.8, because there isn’t a significant difference). Enjoy! Please keep comments Church-appropriate!

Interesting fact: 1617 downloads as of March 11, 2011

    Hi fanman93;

    Love the mini vmac.

    Is there a way/procedure or even a startup shell gizmo that can do the sliding of the “virtual disk” “.dsk file over on top of the Mini vMac logo to start the Mac .dsk file??

    Can this startup procedure, if possible, be part of a shell “welcome” page to offer the user choices to make in starting up the program and help menus, etc.

    Can I get legal permission (buy the rights to use mini vmac) to use mini VMac to run my program off of my website (when it is finished)

    Appreciate you help,

    Barge Levy

      Well, sir, I’m afraid you’re going to have to ask the developer those questions! I can tell you for sure that it is possible to make a batch file to start Mini vMac with a disk, as well as naming them “disk0.dsk” and so on, respectively. If you want to compile the application from source to work on a website, then I;m sure M. Pratt would love you to do so. You can contact him at:
