Just a thought

May 22, 2010

I thought I’d come back and see how things are going. There seems to still be an interest in the website, so I’ll certainly have a go at finding some more items. The only thing is, when you don’t hear from people, it makes you think that what you’re offering isn’t important. I’d really appreciate some feedback so that this passion that I have doesn’t die out, and that I might continue to provide quality posts for everyone’s liking!

Without further to do, here is the link to my entire archive; you might find some stuff that doesn’t belong, per se, but I used my account for a lot of things. Have a great time, and continue vMac-ing!

Stuffit Expander 4.0.1

December 13, 2009

Well, it seems as if this would be a relatively simple task, but I guess I can understand. Stuffit 4.0.1 is useless to me, since 5.5 has backwards compatability, and Stuffit Lite can be used to open most archives. I don’t find that there is any advantage to it compared to getting Basilisk II set up, and using 5.5. But, here it is all the same.

Shareware Bonanza

December 11, 2009

I’m starting to look at the possibility of uploading a TON of shareware, so do tell me if you like the applications! I have 49MB to unstuff, so this should be fun. I expect to have a batch ready in about an hour.

1987

December 4, 2009

1987 is now back, and better than ever! This ZIP file contains mostly games, since there wasn’t very many apps made in that year. It also contains a primitive version of an alternative to Stuffit. Enjoy!

Feedback/1984

December 2, 2009

Hey all! I’m rounding up some programs from the year 1984, and they should be posted soon. Keep your eyes peeled for them!

Also, I’d like to know what you, the user, would like me to upload. I’ll do all within my power to provide a disk image of what you ask. If it has to do with Basilisk II or SheepShaver, please let me know, as I will have to create a new page and/or website for those emulators. I’m trying to keep an open mind and an open website as well, so don’t be afraid to tell me what you think of it. Please send requests to: fanman93@gmail.com

SEA File testing

December 1, 2009

For those of you who are new to Mini vMac, there are a couple of things that you should know about: First off, .SIT files are standard Stuffit archives. These can be view/extracted with Stuffit Lite that is provided on this website. Next are .SEA files, which stands for Self-Extracting Archive. They will automatically extract, and Stuffit isn’t needed. They are a bit bigger, but more useful. I’ve uploaded one so that you can try putting it into a disk image, and then unstuff it. You might want a 30Mb disk image to unstuff to, because it’s pretty substantial.

Programming

November 30, 2009

Anyone up for old-school programming? Then this may be for you. I found a few programming utilities that work within Mini vMac. The programming is miles away from today’s standards, but is still fun to learn.

Stuffit Lite

November 30, 2009

This is the download for the Stuffit Lite program, available on a couple of disks I provided. But, if you just want the Stuffit program, it can be kind of annoying to get rid of all the other files on a disk. So, I uploaded a 2Mb disk containing ONLY Stuffit Lite. I personally love this program, as it allows one to do pretty much everything for free. Although, it does prompt you to register, so that other files besides .SIT files can be unstuffed. Generally speaking, however, this should be sufficiant.
