1991 is here to stay!

March 2, 2011

There were so many apps and games made in 1991 that I didn’t know where to start! I did find some great gems, though, that can run in Mini vMac without any issues. Please be forewarned that the Infocom games REQUIRE System 7.5.x, due to it being a hybrid CD image. Rest assured that it will mount! There weren’t very many productivity apps, though, so you might be put off by the fact that there are a lot of disk image files that might require mounting or exporting. Rather than have a bunch of files that are all over the place in the archive, I thought this to be the best solution.

This is the first time that I’ve uploaded something wirelessly, so if the archive is corrupt, someone please let me know! I’m pretty sure everything went fine, though one can’t be too sure about anything these days.

Sorry for the delays, everyone! Hopefully this will show that I still care very much for the site, and I won’t let it die just yet!

MacHut

Above is the link to the folder containing the disk image (192MB) of the aforementioned MacHut archive.

Instructions:

Unrar the 4 separate archives; then, when all of the RAR archives are in the same folder (all 113 of them), combine them into one with WinRAR or another compression utility that supports this type of compression. Once again, my sincerest apologies on not having the time to unstuff these files!

Just a thought

May 22, 2010

I thought I’d come back and see how things are going. There seems to still be an interest in the website, so I’ll certainly have a go at finding some more items. The only thing is, when you don’t hear from people, it makes you think that what you’re offering isn’t important. I’d really appreciate some feedback so that this passion that I have doesn’t die out, and that I might continue to provide quality posts for everyone’s liking!

Without further to do, here is the link to my entire archive; you might find some stuff that doesn’t belong, per se, but I used my account for a lot of things. Have a great time, and continue vMac-ing!

Shareware

December 11, 2009

I have uploaded the first of (I hope) many shareware applications disks. I found a website called Jagshouse.com, and there was a wealth of shareware that I have never before seen. I’ll also see what I can do to complete this huge task of filling up a 100-200Mb disk image with everything that I have collected so far, so that you can just boot from that disk and work without a ton of crap on your desktop screen.

Shareware Bonanza

December 11, 2009

I’m starting to look at the possibility of uploading a TON of shareware, so do tell me if you like the applications! I have 49MB to unstuff, so this should be fun. I expect to have a batch ready in about an hour.

The Mac is Back!

December 7, 2009

I’ve got 1989 uploaded! By the year 1990, stuff should start coming out that would be more compatible with System 7 and Basilisk II. If you want to run up to system 8.1, then I suggest getting that.

1988 is here!

December 5, 2009

1988 has been uploaded, and not too soon! I almost accidentally deleted Stuffit Expander from Basilisk II (don’t even ask, it’s a long story).

Here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?nmymty24z5t

1987

December 4, 2009

1987 is now back, and better than ever! This ZIP file contains mostly games, since there wasn’t very many apps made in that year. It also contains a primitive version of an alternative to Stuffit. Enjoy!

1986

December 4, 2009

1986 is now here! There has been a dramatic drop in visits today, as I suspect the cause being that I didn’t upload anything new. Well, the wait is over!

1985

December 2, 2009

Wow, this was an awesome year for Apple! There is a veritable gold mine of stuff on the net for Mini vMac in 1985! Pretty much everything here is from 1985 (The Microsoft Excel version 3 to 4 may not be, but I do know that some of it was made in 1985). There are a lot of games, tons of apps, and another AWESOME music program! I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

A word of advice: The 3D Rendering program has to be the one you boot with. It will just crash, otherwise. Sort of the same thing as with Flight Simulator One.

1985 Rules!
