1984

December 2, 2009

After having read George Orwell’s “1984”, I decided to upload some killer apps/games from that year. This will be a series, going from ’84 to possibly the mid ’90s. It all depends on what’s out there.

Anyway, this features a few games, an absolutely AMAZING music composer, and a couple other things. I only took the best of what was there, because, let’s face it, not everything made for Mac is good. Most is, but not all. There are three files in there, one being a “.dsk” file, the other two being a type of disk image that you can mount in Mini vMac by selecting “All Files” from the “Mount Disk Image” section. They worked for me, but if there was a problem with the upload, please let me know.

Note: The “Videx” disk has a .IMAGE file on it, so you’ll have to use ExportF1 from the official Mini vMac website. After that, it should mount fine.

Feedback/1984

December 2, 2009

Hey all! I’m rounding up some programs from the year 1984, and they should be posted soon. Keep your eyes peeled for them!

Also, I’d like to know what you, the user, would like me to upload. I’ll do all within my power to provide a disk image of what you ask. If it has to do with Basilisk II or SheepShaver, please let me know, as I will have to create a new page and/or website for those emulators. I’m trying to keep an open mind and an open website as well, so don’t be afraid to tell me what you think of it. Please send requests to: fanman93@gmail.com

ZORK Trilogy

November 29, 2009

Since E-maculation can’t technically post this, because of whether or not this is freeware/abandonware, the ZORK Trilogy will be posted here. This is a text-based game which is a lot of fun. WARNING: You have to use HFVExplorer in Windows to transfer the .sit file to a .dsk file. DO NOT UNSTUFF IT IN WINDOWS, OR YOU WILL LOOSE VITAL MACINTOSH PLUS INFORMATION ON IT. Alternatively, you can use ImportF1 available here. I will also provide Mini vMac version 3.0.4 on another page, which will be updated as often as needed. Any variations of Mini vMac are welcome, so long as you don’t include the ROM with it. I want to keep this site legal.

Drawing Productivity

November 29, 2009

Here is a disk image containing a few drawing applications, and some games as well. They were all tested with System 6.0.8 to 7.5.5, and might work in older systems. Enjoy, and remember: any and all applications that work within Mini vMac and/or vMac are welcome! fanman93@gmail.com

OnLine Bible version 2.9 and more

November 28, 2009

For those of us who are Bible Junkies (myself included), this is definitely something you’ll want. Included are three translations (RSV, YLT and BBE), as well as the default one (KJV) that comes with it. More versions are available at http://freegroups.net/macos_files/macos_files/Online_Bibles/English/

Here is the Disk Image: http://www.mediafire.com/?yqiqmwqjdir

Something that you may want to note is that this version requires System 6 or later. I recommend using 6.0.8, as it is much faster than 7.x.

Also included in this post is various smaller apps (like MS BASIC, for instance) Risk game for 68k mac, StuffitLite (for creating .SIT archives), and other things. http://www.mediafire.com/?mrmmmhimaiy
